Kassapa

, m., Npr.; one of a group of the 10 sages
(isi), who composed mantras (cf. Aṭṭhaka, 1., q.v. for
references) inspired by the teachings of the Buddha ~
(Aṭṭhako + ... Vāsettho, ~o Bhagu, D I 104,15 [Sv
273,30-34]; Aṭṭhako + ... ~o + ... mantānaṁ kattāro,
Abh 109); probably the same ~ is meant in a different
group of sages who transcended the kāmâvacara and
