party of
1Kaṇha (= Mara); hence b. the black
(negative, evil) side (opp. sukka-pakkha); — Rem.
These meanings are prevalent in pa. and BHS; for ~
used in the sense of "the dark half of the month" (cf.
sa.
), cf. Pv-a 135,23: kaṇha-sukka-bhede bahū pakkhe
(ad Pv 312), elsewhere kāḷapakkha (q.v.) is used;
