Rem. The occasional spelling ācāriya occurs in
Ja Ms. C* also at places where it does not appear

metrical occurrences the metre either claims trisyllabic

scansion [ - - ( ˇ ); ( ˇ ) indicating final stem-syllable
or allows [ - - ˇ ( ˇ )]; at Ja IV 313,27* the metre
requires [ - - ˇ ( ˇ ) ] (and here C* has ācariyo;
Trenckner corrects into ācāriyo); Ja VI 224,20*
indicates [ - ˇ ˇ ( ˇ )].
