[vol 3; p. XIV] Klas Hagren
At only 47 years of age, Klas Hagren passed away on 26th of August 2000 in Uppsala. Klas Hagren was born on 12th February 1953 in Uddevalla on Sweden's Westcoast, where he also qualified as a student in 1973. Having entered university Hagren studied Indology, at first in Stockholm and, somewhat later, in Uppsala. From 1988 to 2000, he held the position of a university "adjunkt" at Uppsala University, teaching Sanskrit, Tamil and Hindi. Klas Hagren contributed to Volume III, fascicles 2, 3 and 6 of this dictionary. His death was sudden and tragic.
